Mio DigiWalker™ C220 goes back to the future

Mobile in-car GPS systems have been the must-have new gadget for not only Australians, but drivers globally.
In response, GPS makers have added feature after feature - PDAs, multimedia players, digital storage,
cameras and Bluetooth capability.

While Mio has several products on the Australian market, it has decided to go back to basics with the entry
level Mio DigiWalker™ C220.

Mio has stripped back the extra features and the C220 is devoted solely to navigation. That means the C220 at
$499 will be one of the most price competitive GPS devices on the market.

"The Australian GPS market is showing considerable growth and Mio wants to deliver high-quality GPS devices
for all levels of demand. We have found that some consumers are only looking for entry level GPS unit and we
are delighted to introduce these consumers to the Mio DigiWalker™ C220," said Peter Ferrigno, national sales
manager of Mio Australia.

The entry-level price is kept low due to Mio conducting its own research, development, manufacturing and
marketing enabling Mio to produce a GPS unit which retains a high quality at an affordable price.

"Mio decided that it was necessary to ensure that people who want to try a GPS unit without the extra features
have a reasonably priced, quality, entry level unit to purchase," Mr Ferrigno said.

Once the C220 has been charged it is ready to be used – straight from the box. When in the car, drivers
receive a turn-by-turn voice and text navigation instruction to ensure their eyes are kept on the road.

The C220 has a 3.5 inch display and is powered by Sensis® R14 2007 mapping which has over 500,000 points
of interest (POI) including service stations, cafes, rest spots and hotels.
