Navigation devices Mio for Škoda cars
New car models Škoda Fabia, Fabia Combi and Roomster will soon offer Mio navigation devices from the assortment of Škoda Genuine Accessories
Prague, September 29, 2008 - Mio Technology, world’s leading provider of personal GPS navigation devices, and leader of GPS technology and sales in Central and Eastern Europe, in cooperation with Škoda Auto a.s., developed a navigation solution for selected models produced by this motor car company. It will be first introduced to the public at the October AutoShow 2008 fair in Prague.
Mio will be supplying navigation devices based on the latest series of car navigation solutions Mio Moov with map coverage of 38 European countries for car models Škoda Fabia, Fabia Combi and Roomster. The device will be mounted on a built-in holder with power supply, but with the possibility to take it out easily. Hence the user will not lose the opportunity to use the device even outside the car. Future owners of the mentioned models of Škoda vehicles will therefore get a chance to acquire the newest GPS navigation device for their cars directly from the manufacturer, including professional installation at Škoda’s authorised partners. Thanks to the built-in active holder, there will be no more need for charging cables leading from the power socket towards the windshield, nor for any interference with the dashboard upon installation of hidden power supply of an active holder. Apart from that, its design will be in tune with the car’s interior and in comparison with holders on the windshield, this one will barely obstruct the driver’s view of the road. The integrated solution also prides itself on successfully passing the crash test according to Euro NCAP standards.
Škoda Auto will offer the Mio navigation devices among its accessories from October 2008.
