Mio Technology Merges Brand With Navman1/7/2008
“With the merger of the Mio and Navman brands, two complementary organizations have been brought together with a shared passion for delivering consumers the best navigation experience,” said Samuel Wang, president, Mio Technology Corporation. “Mio Technology brings core competencies in hardware to the table, and Navman brings expertise in software and content, creating a new brand that is better able to create unique, innovative products and services.”
Despite the merger, the Navman brand will continue to exist in select markets, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Products from both Mio Technology and Navman are appearing at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (Jan. 7-10) at the Mio booth (LVCC South Hall 4, Booth 35344).
The Mio booth will feature a refreshed corporate identity, developed to reflect the new union of the Mio Technology and Navman brands.
