Travelling with Mio!1/21/2008
Since 2002, Mio Technology has developed some of the most advanced personal navigation products available today. The organisation is driven to continually explore new technologies that are designed to help people explore the world around them.
Mio Technology is constantly developing smaller and more integrated solutions to free users from the burden of carrying multiple devices and better connect them to the world. As today’s mobile technologies continue to converge, Mio Technology is committed to research and development so its customers can be the first to benefit from these technologies.
With integrated GPS antennas becoming commonplace, the engineers at Mio tackled another problem facing GPS users: the size of digital maps. The solution was simple – Mio added a hard disk drive. The first product with this feature, Mio,was a dedicated navigation device for frequent travellers that made digital storage of large maps, media files, and even photos, possible. Using Windows CE software, Mio 269 provided a simple-to-use interface, giving users the freedom to travel without bulky or hard-to-read maps.
To meet the changing demands of the global business traveller, Mio continually seeks to build fully-integrated communication and navigation devices to make travel easier. The latest Mio DigiWalker products are capable of storing data files, contacts, music, photos and video all transferable through a wireless connection. Travelling with Mio is not only fun, but efficient too.
