Do you have a dash cam equipped with a GPS speedcam alert function, but did not receive an accurate fixed-location speedcam alert? Maybe it’s not a malfunction, but the database of safety camera locations needs an update!

when updated
Most traffic accidents are related to speeding cars. From time to time, the traffic enforcement unit may add or remove fixed safety camera locations according to road conditions to improve traffic safety. Therefore, in addition to careful driving, users also need to regularly maintain and update the GPS-integrated dash cams database to receive timely and thoughtful alerts.
Updating is easier than ever
For dash cams in the market, many have GPS safety camera warnings, but not all of them provide long-term and complete safety camera location data updates! Mio provides free and up-to-date fixed safety camera database updates from time to time, which can be loaded to your Mio dash cam through two methods:
Through memory card
Use a PC to download the latest GPS safety camera location database of your model from mio.com, then load it to your dash cam memory card to update.
[Applied to all models]
Through mobile phone
OTA (Over-the-air) update through mobile App wirelessly
[Selected WiFi models only]
In addition to timely updates of safety camera information on your Mio dash cam, please also comply with traffic laws and drive safely!
* All Mio safety camera location data apply only to fixed-location speedcams, and does not include data on mobile speedcams.
